Veronaville Round 6 - Regan and Cornwall Capp

Cornwall, Regan, Fay and husband Yoosung, and Fay's twin Elgar

ASimWen has been bitten by the TS2 bug, and am looking at this neighborhood once again.  It has been about a year since it has been played and nearly two years since this lot was visited.   I read the last round of Veronaville play in this blog to remind myself of everything that has happened, and maybe to try to figure out what I had in mind when I played it last, and what direction I wanted everyone's lives to go.  We shall see!

So here we are on the Regan (Monty) and Cornwall Capp lot.  Two Fortune Sims who had not one wish for a child, but were blessed with two sets of natural twins of which one set still remains at home, Fay and Elgar.

First Wishes:  Win gaming competition, Cam gets promoted,woohoo in bed, and earn some money.  Currently working in the Entertainment field as a Prestidigitator.

Elgar Capp

Family - Marry off Six

First Wishes:  All for Gwyenth Merry:  Dance, talk to, flirt with, and give backrub to.  Currently working in Law Enforcement as the Police Chief.

Fay (Capp) Gaither - Elgar's Twin

Pleasure - Have 50 Dream Dates

First Wishes:  Cam gets promoted, hustle pool,  have a party, and go swimming.  Last round Fay married townie Yoosung Gaither whom she won from the Gypsy through a crystal ball date as a teen.  Incidentally as soon as the nuptials were sealed, Fay gave birth to a son Jonah Gaither.  Unemployed.

First Wishes:  Cam gets promoted, gain a skill point, invite someone over, for anyone - talk to, play with, entertain.  Don't know much about him yet, only that in a former life he was involved in short lived challenge in this same neighborhood, then released as a townie.  Currently working in the Adventure field as a Multiregional Sim of Some Question.

The Breeding Pair

EA kitty Kim, and then Cam who was purchased by Fay from Aelita Summerdream round before last.  Their purpose is to fulfill Regan's LTW, and to provide lots of kittens for the neighborhood adoption pool. 

So what happened last round?  

It was an extremely busy house, but fulfilling wishes was not difficult.  It was all gaming, or commanding both Kim and Cam around since they were both fully skilled out. This round we will see Cam fulfill Regan's LTW of have 6 pets reach TOC, as Kim is retired having already worked the three pet careers to TOC.  Fay threw Ask Sim On Date almost every day, and that is how she threw get married to Yoosung.  At the beginning of the play ASimWen didn't think that relationship was going to go anywhere, and look what happened.  Regan was all about gaming, and doing things with the cats.  Elgar also wanted gaming.  

Elgar and Fay aged up to adult, neither one unhappy about not attending University.  Fay married Yoosung and had a surprise little boy named Jonah. Cam and Kim actually contributed 6 kittens to the Veronaville animal adoption pool this visit, and are pregnant again at the beginning of this play. 

Now that the update is finished....  LET'S PLAY!  (it took me forever to figure out this new user interface on Blogger....)

My first thoughts...what to do about Elgar and Gwyneth.  Gwyn is Yoosung's neice......it would only seem fitting that the twins Elgar and Fay should marry a a girl and a guy from the same family.  But oh my...that LTW of Elgar's.  Neighborhood bloating!  Well maybe by the end of the visit Elgar will let me know what he wants to do.

Right away:

Cornwall retires.  He is very close to the end of his life, being 69 years old.  Go you Cornwall!  Spend time with that new grandson.  After  baby snuggle and cuddle, it was off to bed for Cornwall.

Elgar in the meantime gussied up in front of the mirror then called Gwyn for a date to the art museum.  It was a no brainer.

It didn't take much...a gossip, then tell a joke...and it spun up.

Skip get engaged...Elgar went right for the jugular and wanted to get married.  Now.  These two were sumpin' in love, alright.  Per Five Wishes rules, it must, it must, it must happen!  

Elgar and Gwyn hurried back to the Capp home, and woohooed in the car to celebrate their engagement...then the date was done, Gwyn went home.

By now it was only late Monday afternoon.  Elgar realized there would not be room in the house for his new bride there.  After a serious discussion with Cornwall, it was decided amicably that Elgar should get his own place, so off he went. 

Elgar found this nice little two bedroom house, complete with a greenhouse full of mature eggplants.  This is the former home of Antonio Monty and his children Beatrice and Benedick.  This lot was added to the bottom of the play list, we will see Elgar and Gwyn's wedding later, tater.

BACK HOME

Meal time, which presented a primo opportunity to fulfill wishes.  Both Cornwall and Regan wanted a bass and a drum set, typical Fortune Sim wants.  Pow pow...then ASimWen remembered that Plat Sims don't get wishes fulfilled any more..sorry Cornwall.  These things were thrown into Regan's backpack to be sold back later.

 

Fay was wanting to ask a Sim on a date, and of course her husband Yoosung was the obvious choice, both of them getting their wishes in for the day.  This lead to woohoo of course...

Hey but wait a minute.  They have a son...how could this be their first woohoo?  Ah well.  Enjoyed the cut scene anyway.  ASimWen did double check the family tree to make sure she had the parentage right in her thoughts...

Yup, Yoosung and Fay are the mommy and daddy to little Jonah.  And...ASim was reminded that Mr. Big is his grandpa.  Them's some great genes, right there.

Whilst the kids were upstairs indulging, grandpa and granny took care of Jonah.  Cornwall was thoroughly enjoying his roll as grandpa.

Woo here we go!  The first kittens born in this play on this lot.  Now now...the names might seem a little off the wall.  ASim didn't have the baby name book handy to name the kittens so Alexa was asked her ideas on random male/female names.  There you go.  Cornwall called Animal Control to come get them.  Fay asked Kim to try again with Cam...and more kittens were on the way.  Keep those kittens coming, hopefully there won't be more babies born in this house.

Yoosung headed out to work, and the ladies decided to go on a walk about downtown, leaving Jonah with Cornwall.

Fay met up with her father in law Blair Gaither at the park.  Ewww...that is a creepy looking Juliet (Monty) Capp staring.....and why is Blair scowling???

Regan had a wish to play chess, and Juliet was a willing chess partner.  Tybalt, Juliet's brother and Regan's cousin by marriage, watched the (un) exciting match.

Back home the ladies tried on new clothes purchased during the walk about.  Lookin' good there, Fay!

No sooner had Regan change dinto her new outfit that she was called up for an outing, as if one of her friends knew she had new clothes to show off.  Uh-huh.

Back home, it was Jonah's birthday.  

First wishes upon growing up:  buy a toy, learn to walk and potty, and be tickled by mom.  Love this little boy...like father, like son.  

It was autumn, which means quick skilling.  In no time little Jonah had all his skills, and had some great wishes fulfilled as well!

One thing that can't be forgotten....

Is that one fear must be attempted every day.  Here Fay gets rejected for an outing by Titania Summerdream.  But to balance that out, Fay had a wish realized by buying some clothes.  The idea is not to fill up the aspiration meter early in a Sim's life.

Fay wasn't popular with Titania, but she was popular with this crowd. She was called for an outing and per Wishes style of play, she had to go.  This makes for lots of great social interaction for Sims!  Looky who it is in the yellow, none other than Trista Shaw, Benedick Monty's cast off.  The group met up at Sue's Kitchen, where Fay made spaghetti which was popular with everyone.

Oh look!  Yoosung was promoted via string pulling from his friend Don.  To refresh, Sims are not allowed to actively pursue job promotions by skilling, ect unless they do it automously, such as playing chess or jumping onto the stationery bike, or by wishing for skills.  If they never wish for skills, they must promote via string pulling.  This is to prevent Sims from climbing the ladder of success so quickly. 

On this day, Regan brought home a co worker with her...none other than Bottom Summerdream. Hopefully Regan would be able to build up friendship with for a Bottom for a string promotion.

Woohoo!  Now maybe wishes will throw to....errrrr....make wishes!!!

Another promotion for Jonah's dad.  Go you, Yoosung!  This one was not a string promotion.  The day before Yoosung skipped some rope "just because" and he quickly zipped up to full body skill in a matter of seconds.  Apparently he had read the physiology book at some point.

ASimWen noticed that Yoosung had kept the Go On Oriental vacation for two days.  If he still had it on Sunday two days later, he and Fay would need to go.

Yoosung's promotion day was also Jonah's birthday!  Yay for birthdays!

Wait let's get a better look at this kid.  What the heck.  Hope he grows into that mouth.  Off to the mirror he goes to get a kewl hat.

First wishes upon growing up:  Be BFF with his dad, make a wish on the genie lamp, buy electronic entertainment, and make a friend.  Now wasn't ASimWen just turning cartwheels at the thought of wishes being made on the genie lamp?  Jonah was the first one to throw the wish.

Jonah:  Mr Genie, I want to be free of disease.

Genie:  Your wish is my command.

ASimWen:  Well I guess he had to be sick for that to do anything.  Well, now we know if there is a genie lamp on the lot, a person can quickly be cured of the flu.

Saturday morning Fay and Yoosung took Jonah to the skating rink.  No wishes here, just needed to shake 'em up a little bit.

The men of the family being of strong body, realized their potential.  Yoosung suddenly became extra strong by skating....

And Jonah realized he was the athletic type.  Looks like he will be getting a basketball hoop or some such thing back at the house.  

The trip to the skating rink did this body good.  Another promotion for Yoosung....and not having to do much to get them.

Fay was called out for another outing...and being that she was showing a wish to buy clothes, it was off to the boutique to get some.  Everyone had a blast.  Note Regan came along, when she was supposed to be at work.

Well my stars.  Looky who showed up at the clothing store.  The real cyber ASimWen.  I had forgotten she was in this neighborhood.  Girlie, you better buy yourself a sweater.  That one hurts the eyes.

Yoosung never lost the wish to go to the Orient, so off they want.  Pleasure loving Fay wanted to go on a tour right away, and so they did.  

Being a Knowledge Sim Yoosung wanted to learn how to teleport.  Over 5 days, he met up with the ninja 6 times, and was deemed unworthy every time.  

Besides going on a tour, Fay did not throw wishes for doing things on vacation.  She continued to roll the generic Pleasure Sim wishes..buy clothes, play on sofa...ect.

Yoosung was the one who wanted to go out and experience everything.  He and Fay sampled all the great food offered.

Together, they learned the tea ceremony. They used invisible cups.

Amongst so many things, they also learned the Legend of the Dragon.

Throwing coins in the fountain brought a good message.  Well, it can't hurt, right?  In the mean time Fay wanted dream dates and to go shopping, ect.  

Back home, Fay broke the news to Jonah that he was going to get a brother or sister.  Yep, this happened on vacation, with all of Fay's date wishes spewing constantly.  

Jonah:  No, no, no, no.....NO!

FAY

Fay was called out on one last outing....where she shared the Legend of the Dragon.  Did not help the outing score.

REGAN

Go you Regan!  What Sim couldn't use 20K?

Regan realized she didn't have a high relationship with her sister Goneril Capp, and spent some time chatting up.  After all, everyone was getting older by the day.

Whilst she was on the phone chatting, Cam came home from work for the last time ever, and pushed Regan into platinum for having 6 pets reach TOC. Cam immediately retired and will spend the rest of his days making kittens.  Now, in all the years ASimWen has been playing The Sims, this is the first time ever any of her Sims have ever accomplished this lifetime want.  Regan's new LTW:  Become a Rock God.  Ain't gonna happen.

CORNWALL

Cornwall playing chess.  Again.  Maxed out logic...

And that ends this visit with the Capps for this round.  

Ending Wishes:

Cornwall and Regan - Perm Plat. Wishes will not be actively fulfilled for them.  Cornwall will have is Grim Party next round.

Fay  - Wishes - Have a dream date, take a snapshot, go clothes shopping, have a pillow fight, eat out. Fay is temporarily enjoying an extra want slot due to the great oriental vacation.   Fears - Be rejected for asking Sim on Outing, Kim and Cam get sprayed.

Yoosung - Wishes - Be saved from death, make BFF with coworker Don Wendland, stargaze, command Kim, get cleaning 6, and see a ghost.  Fears - Lose a skill point, Fay dies, and Marilyn the dog gets sprayed by a skunk.

Jonah -  Get an A+, be BFF with granny Regan, eat toaster pastries, and play Marco Polo.  Fears - be rejected for give love to both Kim and Cam, and Kim gets sprayed.  

SUMMARY

Elgar moved out of the family home after spinning a marriage wish to Yoosung's neice, Gwyneth Merry which resulted in engagement.  He "bought" the former residence of Antonio Monty.  We will see their wedding later.  

The general wishes:  Regan had lots of 'buy me by me' stuff.  Listed as a general item with a monetary value.  These were bought and sold back the next day.  Fay was faithful to the Pleasure Sim outline and wanted to play on the sofa, buy clothes and date.  She was called out on multiple outings which she indulged.  Yoosung wanted typick Knowledge Sim things...skilling and learning all he could in a foreign land having wished for an oriental vacation that 'stuck'.  While on vacation Fay became pregnant again.  *sigh*  Yoosung failed to learn teleporting from the ninja, there is always next time.  He threw the oriental vacation wish again Monday morning after sleeping on it.  As a toddler, Jonah threw all the typical toddler Sim wants, and did learn all his toddler skills having aged up in the fall.  As a child he wanted to command the cats around, interact with mom and dad, and learn to do homework.

While Cornwall's wishes were not being fulfilled, in retirement he could always be found giving financial advice on the PC, playing chess either alone or with whomever wanted to be a willing partner, or, reading the paper. 

Cam and Kim contributed an unprecedented 9 kittens to the neighborhood adoption pool, having one lone kitten after the two litters of four.  They are expecting again.  Kim was trained to use the toilet.  Next round it will be Cam's turn so the litter box can be gotten rid of.
