Veronaville Round 5 - Monty - Mercutio and Miranda

Hi Mercutio and Miranda!  Mercutio is Romeo's brother, and Miranda is Desdemona and Ariel's sister.  Let's see who is here, what is going on.

Miranda (Capp) Monty

Romance/Knowledge - Wants to Become Education Minister

Miranda is prem plat from having already become a Professional Party Guest, and will age up to elder before the end of the round.  She is currently a substitute teacher.  Her wishes will not be fulfilled.

Mercutio Monty

Popularity/ Knowledge - Wants to be a Criminal Mastermind

Like Miranda, Mercutio is perm plat having already become a Hall of Famer.  He will age up at the end of the round.  He is currently a con artist.

Paris Monty

Family - Wants to Graduate 3 From College

Paris is an extremely lovely girl.  She fell in love with Avalon Capp back on the Regan and Cornwall play.  It seems the Monty brothers, Romeo and Mercutio, makes beautiful kids.  Her first wishes:  Go steady, go go University, play with and entertain.  She will age up in eleven days.  However, if she holds the wish to go to University, she will leave at the end of the round.

The Breeding Pair:

EA Doggo Benny and Leslie Capp from the Hermia/Tybalt Capp lot.  They will turn elder this round.

Round four review:  Both Mercutio and Miranda went perm plat having met their career related LTWs.  The breeding pair produced several puppies for the Veronaville pet adoption pool.  And, Paris fell in love with Avalon's brother Aubrey (as a teen) but of course he went off to University and is now an adult residing in his own apartment.  That left the way open for Avalon to move in to Paris's affections.  And Paris helped Beatrice Monty reach her LTW of having 20 simultaneous best friends by becoming her friend.

Alright....LET'S PLAY!!!

Paris and Miranda headed off to school, immediately.

So the first wish fulfilled was for Mercutio, to talk. That is Beatrice Monty who had apparently spent the night in the hot tub and had just climbed out to go home.

Mercutio headed off to work, leaving no one there except Bea and the dogs.   Beatrice eventually left, she should have stuck around a little longer because she would have witnessed:

Three puppies were born, in the house no less.  When Mercutio came home from work they were sent off to Animal Control.

After work/school both Paris and her mom brought someone home with them.  Paris brought home Rod Monty (mom is Ariel *Capp* Monty) and Miranda brought home Diana Merry.  Who is that?  Back on the Regan/Cornwall lot, Fay married townie Yoosung Gaither.  Diana Merry is his mother.  In an effort to make more friends, Miranda accidentally got 5 five wishes fulfilled for her perm plat self.

Paris got all five in visiting with Rod.  Dare I say that Rod will take over as the town's blog hog from Barron Monty??? We will see!

Around 10pm Paris threw a wish to invite her teen lover over, AvalonCapp.  Now, Avalon grew up and moved out of his mom and dad's house as previously mentioned in the Regan and Cornwall entry.  That is why to ASimWen's surprise these two shared a passionate kiss when Avalon first hit the lot.  ??  Think it was just a fluke, ASimWen played the visit scenario through.  When it was over, again with the kissing.  The game still shows them as being in love, even though Avalon is an adult.  ??  I have no mods installed that allow romantic teen/adult relationship.  Hm.  We will see.

But at any rate after Paris spent time with Avalon, she threw wishes for cooking skills.

Paris sat up all night studying cooking getting in all her wishes for Tuesday.  heh  This will also help her with getting the culinary scholarship for Uni.

The following day this young man came home over after school.  This is BJ Gaither, Yoosung Gaither's brother, whom Fay Capp married.  It was mentioned on that entry that ASimWen had never seen BJ Gaither in the neighborhood, but here he is!  Strange he shows up a couple of days after his mother Diana was here.  Paris got in some social wishes during this visit with BJ, and they became friends. 

Paris started thowing wishes at various times to talk with Aubrey Capp.  Avalon's brother....and the boy she was in love with before Avalon.  Of course, Aubrey is a grown man now.  But lo and behold...BJ came walking by during a conversation between Aubrey and Paris.  Hm. 

One evening Paris rolled "Invite Aubrey over"  And so it was!  There was no romantic interactions between her and Aubrey, thank goodness.   But Paris did get all her wishes in this day.  So this presents a conundrum.  Who should she pick for her life mate?  Avalon or Aubrey?  She rolls wishes for both of them.  Well, ASimWen already knows how this is going to be done.  *wink wink*

This visit has been "all about Paris" as she is just in the beginning of her life.  It is so exciting to see a Sim throw wishes to be with so and so.  Paris is providing plenty of fodder!  What is mom and dad up to?  Well, they have both been pulling themselves up the corporate ladder both having the needed skills to keep moving up.

Miranda has taken up yoga in an attempt to win the Fitness plaque, and Mercutio spends time outside of work raking leaves and keep the yard looking good, feeds the dogs.

The dogs have aged up.  Leslie will eventually go live with Beatrice at her pet retirement home to live out her days.  Benny will get a new mate.

Mercutio while doing his yard work won a membership to Peerless Park.  He didn't care about it, he was too busy to acknowledge the nature chick.  Rake, rake, rake.

In a strange turn of events, Paris decided that she needed to stop worrying about boys and decided to work on her crafty abilities instead.  She wanted both a sewing machine and a toy making bench. She quickly worked up to a silver badge in swing, being that it was autumn and skilling was extremely fast.

She made a set of curtains for her room, and made three outfits.  Now she wants her gold badge.

Back to Miranda and Mercutio.  Miranda received the last promotion she will get this round, and brought home a co worker.  Guess who it is.  Yup, Diana Merry's husband..and BJ Gaither's father.  Ewan.  *twilight zone music*.

New LTW - Become City Planner

Go you Mercutio!  Well he wont' get a chance to wear the kewl Criminal Mastermind suit...

His new desired career came right up on the computer.  He grabbed it.

Whoops....Paris wanted to see Aubrey again, put on one of the new outfits she sewed.  She was thinking about engagement as soon as she saw him.  Ooh my.  She is pining for this man~!  Is it only a teenage girl's crush on an older man??  Or is it something more?

Paris made some grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.

Mercutio:  Well boy you know Paris is used to a particular standard of living.  Now, I know you just graduated from college, but boy you got that exepensive apartment.  That's good enough for my little girl.  But can you provide for her?  Can you give her diamonds and pearls on her birthday and send a whole tuck full of roses on the anniversary of your marriage to her?

Mercutio:  And daughter, I see you have on one of the new sets of clothes you designed and made.  You are very talented and I am sure you will be a wonderful mother and wife.  Are you ready for the responsibility of marriage and children?

Paris:  Daaaaad!  Quit being so old-fashioned!  We are just having lunch.  (Privately thinks oh yes yes YES).

 Benny and Leslie:  Can we have a bite???

Miranda had her birthday during Aubrey's visit....

A makeover was sorely needed.

Mercutio:  Miranda, you look like a bird in that jacket.

Aubrey went home, feeling good about the visit.  Paris hit the sewing machine again.

She won many aspiration points through the week with all the sewing.  In the end she finally got the gold badge.   It helped to be working on this during autumn to speed things along.  Winning the gold meant a ton of aspiration for her!  And the ability to make custom outfits!

Turning to social pursuits again, Paris wanted to see Aubrey's brother Avalon.  The game still has her thinking he is a teen, and they still have a status of "in love".  Note she is not looking at his face...she is looking at his throat.  And then she wanted to make sure she was best friends with BJ Gaither before....

she headed off to university.  Yup, she decided to go.  She kept the wish enough that she had to make it happen!  But she has not forgotten about Aubrey.  Oh no...there are plans...

And that is where we end this visit with the Montys for this round.

Summary:

Mercutio met TOC in the criminal field and managed to get a job in his next desired career of architecture.  Miranda is still working her way up in the education system, but aged up to elder so it will be the last career for her.  She is also working on the fitness hobby plaque, only one point away from the achievement.  Mercutio is working on the Nature, having plenty of bushes to trim and weeds to pull in the yard.  Paris was very active socially and in earning skills.  She kept up her friendship with brothers Avalon and Aubrey Capp, and constantly thought of engagement when Aubrey was visiting.  She also became BFF with BJ Gaither, and talked on the phone a couple of times with Barron Monty.  Boys were certainly on her agenda, as well as earning a gold badge in sewing.  The biggest acheivement was earning the right to go to University, having kept the wish more than 50% of the time.  Probably more than that.  It would only disappear when she was sewing.    Failed to get her ending wishes before heading off to University.

However all this presents a conundrum for ASimWen.  Aubrey was sent off to University when he was just barely a teen, and was worked through all four years all at once and sent back to the neighborhood. Which means he aged extremely fast, faster than his brother Avalon and Paris.  Aubrey should have had 11 days or so left as a teen, and Avalon and Paris had 5 days left to be a teen before they were sent off into adulthood.  How is this going to be fixed?  University will be played, all four years, before the Aubrey and Avalon lot.  Then the twins Avalon and Aubrey will be the same age, and Paris will be more in line with their age.  There is a second sent of twins in the Capp house where Avalon and Aubrey hail from, who are supposed to be older then them, they were first borns.  (Fay and Elgar) but they have already aged up to adult without going to Uni so ASim isnt' feeling like the aging for all concerned is messed up too much.    I admit I never gave much thought to keeping the aging in line generationally with the Sims, until I watched the Pleasantview Let's Play from Pleasantsims.  Now I see how important it is.  ha.  I do want to plug Pleasantsims.  The girl's name is Cindy and she does a wonderful job with the Let's Play.  It actually held my attention.  It is well done.  If you have a chance, be sure to watch it.  It is something like over 75 vids, or something like it before Cindy decided to stop for a while.  She was getting burned out, I understand that. 

Anyway sorry for the long summary, I try not to do that.  And that is it for this play!  Next is the Spencer and Desdemona (Capp) Monty lot!
