Ah.  ASimWen has been waiting to get back to this lot.  It is TONS OF FUN.  Namely getting the vampire to TOC.  I am the sort of Simmer who loves playing the Supernaturals.  Except TS2 zombies.  They drive me insane.

Kari came into Grass's life from the wishing well.  He wished for her to get a quick bride, and was blessed with a moon loving vampire.  As they say, opposites attract and Kari and Grass are no different.  They have two bolts. Being a supernatural, she is not aging so we need to get this girl to perm plat ASAP.

Her first wishes:  Freestyle for tips, have a party, go shopping for clothes, and go out with someone.  whoo boy!

Grass is the youngest of Leo Wilkie's 6 plant kids.  Grass is currently unemployed as he decided to stay home to manage Shirley since his wife would be unable to.  He is not as difficult to manage on needs as Kari is. Grass is 18 days to elder.

First wishes:  Play with Frank Dreamer, go swimming, have a party, and meet someone new.

Grow Up

Shirley will have her cake up in three days.

First wishes:  Reach cooking 9 and logic 1, get A+ report card, and cat Ozette Oldie learns to come here.  This cat is not even on the lot.

NOTES copied over from last round:  The cats Lutie and Gary are due to have another litter, as already mentioned, Shirley will age up,  Kari should reach LTW, and Grass is still on the job hunt.  Journalism did not come up all week.  In the mean time he will jusst work toward badges.  Maybe he will get on as a robot maker somewhere.  And...Herb and Coral both scared everyone mercilessly. 

GOAL for this play:  Get Kari to TOC, and maybe get her pregnant again.  Keep Grass on the job hunt.

Kari leaves for her shift  that starts at 11 am.  Grass looks on feeling worried because he sees smoke coming off her from being in the sun.

 Shirley comes home from school having gotten an A+, getting a nice wish in.  Her dad then helped her with some homework, and then they proceeded to play a couple rounds of red hands to get Shirley's fun up.  ASimWen had the sound turned down and didn't realize what was going on outside.

 The cleaning bot had gone nuts.

A skunk came by to get a meal.  Ugh.

Kari came home from work with the much needed promotion, flew inside to get get some rest in her coffin.  Shirley was settled down to study cooking toward he wish.

Grass repaired the robot so that it would get to work and clean up its own mess.  Grass was not lucky....the mean flies got him.

He was long gone by the time Kari was able to get out of her coffin and come on the scene.  Good bye Grass.

So much for ASimWen's goal of getting Kari pregnant again, and getting Grass a job.  I did decide a few lots ago that if a Sim died, I would let it go and not save him/her and work it into the story.  So there you go.  The two cats Gary and Lutie cried and cried.

At this point ASimWen is devising how to handle.  The last thing that was needed as a crying vampire standing in the sun on the way to/from the carpool.  Getting Kari TOC could still be done if only Kari were not so sad.  Well.

The best way to heal a broken heart is to bring a new love in.  Grass wasn't even cool in his grave yet and Kari was wishing for a new man.

OH MY...hahaha!  This picture made ASimWen giggle out loud.  So goofy looking!  And she got an NPC...the town slob!

This was just toooo delicious!!!  Kari and Ben have a three bolt attraction!  Woo!  Well let's get on with it!

Yes, yes, yes!!!!  :)  hahaha!

Well Ben moved in with a whopping $14, three fish in his back pack and sported a bronze in fishing.  Go you, Ben!  LOLOLOL  Yes, Kari was in the middle of a miserable party to which no one came.  This pushed the score up to a good time.

Now the bad thing here, is that all the friendships Kari had for her job were actually Grass's friends.  Now she has zero friends to promote with.  Ben doesn't have any friends either.  Good thing she has the next three days off, and there is a wishing well on the lot!  What can I say.  I love the wishing well.

The newlyweds wasted no time working on Ben's LTW.  Success, chimes.  A new little Oldie was on the way.  Kari kept her first married name.

It was at this point in time ASimWen realized the little trailer Grass inherited from Leo and Coral was not big enough for this growing family.  So they moved into this 70's retro rancher. Three bedrooms, two bath, garage.  Rooms are terribly small.  The time was changed to be Tuesday at 6 AM as that is when they moved away from the old house.  However, the season wasn't changed to winter.

ASimWen was sad to see that Herb's tombstone didn't make the move.  This is Grass, Coral, and Leo.

Everything was a little hectic getting the family settled in.  Right before the sun rose:

Ben and Kari get it some low key wishes.  Flirt, play with then Kari headed to her coffin.

Once Shirley headed off to school, Ben tried wishing for friends.  They came out alright but they were quarreling among themselves, and all had negative relationship with Ben already.  ????  ASimWen has never seen that happen.  Maybe because the well had just been used by Kari on the other lot to wish up Ben.  No new friends for Ben on that day.

EDIT:  I did some research on this wishing well outcome.  Apparently when it is used so many times the outcomes will start to be negative .  I have never had this happen, except when Crumplebottom popped out.  I have had wishing wells last for generations.  I have moved them from lot to lot.  According to an article I read, this starts after only 5 wishes.  ????  The effort was made again the next day by Kari, and it was the same.  Three fighting Sims appeared.  So, it looks like a garden will have to be made on this lot, and a new wishing well won.  We will see how it goes.  

In the mean while Gary and Lutie's kittens were born.

They were all given up for adoption. At this point, ASimWen shut down the game for a little while.  Brought it back up, and found:

Herb's tombstone on the corner of the lot. Yay!  ASimWen loves her ghosts.

The Welcome Wagon consisted of John Caliente (Nina's son with Don Lothario), Beau Broke, and then there is Jane (Stacks) Dreamer in the garage playing with Gary the cat.  Ben had tried cooking mac-n-cheese for everyone but burned it.  heh  They ate it anyway, as did Shirley.

Welcome wagon gone, Shirley in bed (who got her wishes in for the day playing with the cats) Kari rolled "Ask Sim On Date"  All wishes in for both her and Ben, before he headed out to work the midnight shift.

A quick shower for Kari, and her pregnancy began to show.  Woohoo!  Exciting!  Why do these Sim ladies always look so surprised....

Kari decided to try to make some friends....and got this great message.  Even without friend count, she was going to get a promotion!

Ben came home with a promotion, didn't require any friends...great.  And he doesn't need any to promote out of this position as well.

In the meanwhile Shirley was getting many wishes in playing with the cats.

And she was making efforts to get to know her new step dad.  Here they both enjoyed watching the Yummy Channel together.

It was soon Shirley's birthday.  Ben cooked up some burgers....and Kari worked on making friends on the phone.  Earlier in the day Ben had a few guys over and managed to russel up a couple of new friends.  Two of them being John Caliente and Beau Broke, then a random walk by townie.

Pleasure - Wants to be a Game Designer

Oh looky at those high cheekbones.  That comes from her plantsim Daddy.  Need to get her hair and make up done.

Shirley seems to like her step dad Ben ok.  She hasn't shown any disgust or any such emotion when she sees her mom and Ben together.  No crying or bawling because mom isn't with dad.

Of course since there was a birthday a ghost had to come out and haunt.  Howdy, Coral!  She gets an eyeball full of Shirley getting energized.

After Shirley's birthday Contessa Kari got her wish to Ask a Sim out on a Date fulfilled.  Both she and Ben got all wishes in.  And oh looky..there is the gypsy lady dropping off a lamp.  That means there will be someone wishing to wish.  haha

Shirley had gotten on the phone to make friends with Olivia Caliente, Debbie and George's daughter (and Nina's granddaughter).  She had come over after school one afternoon before Shirley grew up.  And of course since there was a grown up talking to a kid on the phone, the kid's parent showed up.  Kari saw this as an opportunity to make a friend, but went into labor before the friendship was sealed.  Debbie left in a hurry.  (she looks a little disgusted).

Meet Vlad.  Yes, a vampiric name.  He has the green eyes of his mamma, and whuuuut?  Brown hair??? (blond recessive)  *SimDNA cheat*  well it looks like Kari might dye her hair.  The DNA cheat didn't work on her, but his daddy Ben is blond dominate and recessive, and gray eyes.  heh  The genetics of this game is fascinating.

Kari was glad the birth was over....but was tired.  Ben was happy to be a dad!

In the morning, yes, it was Shirley who wished for a wish.  She wished for beauty..hoping that would help her meet a Sim boy to help her fulfill Ask Sim on Date.  Then it was off to school.
Well well Ben came home with a promotion without the proper friend count, and brought Mr. Big home for a visit to boot. Kari attempted to hypnotize him in preparation for a bite...but he just waved her off.  haha

Shirley still had a yearning to ask a Sim on a date...so called the matchmaker to bring her a boy.  This is Blair Traver.  What a gyp.  Shirley paid the matchmaker $5,000, and received a ZERO attraction boy.  She immediately ended the date, then started it over again to realize her wish.  It was like watching a train wreck.  The five wishes were finally in, and Blair left.  Ugh.

The date with Blair was such a disaster, Shirley decided what did she have to lose, and decided to try the wishing well for romance.  She received this boy, Griff Bransfield who was a three bolt attraction!  The well is better than the matchmaker. hahaha 

By now it was Saturday, and Shirley decided to head to the rec center to make three friends...that is all that was needed for her mom to total the 10 friends needed for promotion.  This is her Auntie Sharon...her dad Grass's sister.

Then it was Frannie Broke, Charles Broke's wife...Brandi's daughter in law.  After a dip in the pool, Shirley met William Dreamer, Cassie's son.  Three friends done, for mom.

That evening Beau Broke dropped in for a visit, and hung around for Vlad's birthday.

What a cutie patooty.  He is a Libra...just as lazy as his dad though...no neat points at all! haha  Kinda surprised to see that he grew up in a tux though!


Vlad's grow up wishes:  Be snuggled and talked to by dad, learn to talk, and be played with by mom.

He may have had the wish to learn to potty...Kari had plunked him right on the chair and got him trained on up.  Then his wishes were taken.

In between all the friend making, big sister Shirley taught Vlad to walk.  

And mom taught him to talk.   Many wishes fulfilled!  Babies are so easy to keep happy.

In the meanwhile, Ben threw a wish to get come charisma...he needed it for work.  Go you, Ben...you are a guy who doesn't show much ambition to do anything except date your wife.  This was surprising!

Shirley tried the wishing well for Romance..apparently it isn't broken for that.  It delivered another three bolter for Shirl...either that or all guys are going to be three bolts with her now since she wished for beauty from the genie.  This is townie Harry Turner.  Anywhoo, not exactly sure how the "beauty" wish works.  Somehow Shirley is never going to be wanting for a Sim to ask on a date!

This visit with the Oldies is winding down.  These two constantly want to date, easy peasy wishes.  They decided since Vlad was now a toddler it was time to get pregnant again.  And it was done!  A new Oldie is on the way.

Contessa Kari tried one more time to hypnotize a Sim to maybe bite.  This is Benjamin Long.  Didn't work...Bennie slapped Kari away.  Too funny.

And we end this visit with Ben getting a promotion to Video Editor.  This is the same rank Kari was at the beginning of the visit.

Summary

This was an extremely fun play.  ASimWen loves her vamps and plantsim people...as well as ghosts.  We saw poor poor Grass receive Death by Flies after the cleaning bot went bonkers.  Kari in order to keep her broken heart whole, wished for a new husband out of the wishing well straight away and received the town slob, Benjamin Stompel.  Turns out he is the very same aspiraiton as Kari, and has the same job.  Grass's daughter Shirley aged up to teen , and seemed to get along with stepdad Ben really well.  After all she is a Pleasure Sim too, but her wish is to become a Game designer.  Upon Grass's death, the family lost all their friendship contacts.  By the end of the round, they had 15 friends, all won the long hard way without the use of the wishing well.  Shirley received membership cards to Sues Kitchen and Games of Glory.  Vlad was born and aged up to toddler, and will age up to child early in round 9, and Kari became pregnant again as Ben's LTW is to marry off six.  It will be done!  :)

Ending wishes:

Kari:  Buy electronic entertainment, get TOC in Slacker, Ask 3 Sims on a date, and buy a game costing at least $5,500.  Kari ends the round as a Freeland Web Designer, and will reach TOC next round. 

Ben:  Buy electronic entertainment, cats Lutie and Gary get a job, and buy a game costing at least $5,500.

Shirley:  buy a game costing at least $5,500, Ask a Sim on a Date, play marco polo, and play chess.

Vlad:  All for dad - be played with, be tickled, and be read to, and learn a nursey rhyme.
