Pleasantview Round 8 - Emma Copur ALTERNATE TIMELINE

Was it all just a dream?  Emma was certain she was having a case of dejavu  .  Maybe she just dreamed it...imagined it...that cute little baby named Serenity.  Who was she kidding, she didn't want children.  She wanted 50 Dream Dates.  Surely having children would put a damper on that.  Or maybe she got a hold of something...something that made her think she had lived some other life.....Well.  Maybe not.  That is too wild to think about. Who knows.

Pleasure - Wants to Have 50 Dream Dates

First wishes:  Woohoo in bed, marry Arthur Tellerman, (locked in), get a job in the Slacker or Dance career.

Fears:  Death of these past boyfriends:  Eddie Dreamer, Ricky Cormier, and Arthur Tellerman.  Don't hardly see any of that happening!

But the here and now was the important thing. Emma was fully aware of what she did, buying the home where she was born....the condo where her father Don Lothario spent his life before he married her mother, Ivy Copur.  The first order of business....Manny the Robot gifted to her by Cassandra (Goth) Dreamer.

Pleasure - Wants to Become a Celebrity Chef

First wishes:  Make a friend, get a job in the criminal dance or slacker fields. We will shoot for his LTW.

Emma thought even though Manny wasn't a living breathing Sim, he could be a help to her as she tended to be a little lazy.

A few simoleons doesn't hurt, even if it is through inheritance.  This was for her father Don Lothario.  The money was sorely needed as she had spent immense amount of cash remodeling the condo, and furnishing it. 

 Emma didn't have a phone to call Arthur to come over to for woohoo visit, off to town she went. 

A phone was purchased, and some clothes as well.  She met Dustin Broke (in the back ground) as well as some other Sims that were new to her.  Then it was back home to see if Arthur would come over.

Arthur arrived right on time!  But Emma's mind wasn't on Arthur.  She kept thinking about past boyfriend Eddie Dreamer!  Fred Goth was also in her thoughts.  But Arthur didn't seem to mind.  He was just happy to be close to Emma.

In the meanwhile, the Welcome Wagon appeared, and Manny was on the job.  Left to right:  PlantSim Sharon Jordan, child of Leo Wilkie, stepchild of Cora (Oldie) Wilkie.  Then Frannie (Frances) Broke, wife of Charles Broke (Brandi's final pregnancy when neighborhood is opened), and Anna (Broke) Burb, daughter of Dustin and Angela (Pleasant) Broke, wife of Joseph Burb who is Arthur Tellerman's uncle.  Oh my.   Manny had just prepared a platter of grilled cheese sandwiches and everyone headed inside to eat.

The date was another dream date for Emma.  That put her at 20, most of them provided by Arthur.  Only 30 to go!

Eventually Emma settled down to look for a job.  Oh her dream job came up in Dance as an aerobics instructor.  She applied and was hired right away.

Emma spent the night reading up on physiology.

In no time, she felt as though she were fit enough to teach dance.  ASimWen especially admires Emma's ability to skip rope in high heels.

The next morning sees Emma leaving for work, and Manny powering up before the carpool for his job came.  He was a Con Artist.  It was something he wanted to do, but would rather be cooking instead. It would do until his dream job came open.

Go you, Emma!  Working right up the ladder.  What do you want to do today?  Wishes:  Have a pillow fight, throw a sports party, marry Arthur, and buy clothes.  Go shopping it is!

It is never difficult for Emma to find something on the clothing racks.  She phoned Arthur to come see her new outfit, and maybe gain a dream date.

OOOh my......First taking a picture in the photo booth, then back in for a little woohoo fun.  Looks like that was a real winner for Arthur!

One dream date to add and back home again Emma realized she had to turn right around and go back to work.  She hit the energizer and was gone. 

Go you, girl!

Wednesday sees Manny finally getting a promotion, and Emma getting her third one,

along with a visit from a co-worker, Nery Turner.

Nery Turner.  What in the heck???  Emma and Nery chatted for a while to work up friendship points (and a possible String Me promotion for Emma) and this is how she says goodbye?  They have zero attraction!  Nery disappeared hopefully never to enter Emma's consciousness again. She calls out for a date with Arthur, to get her wishes in for the day. So far it has all been "buy me buy me" and wishing to fall in love with old boyfriends.

Somehow this date did not reach Dream Date status.  The date ended early, might have been a slip of ASimWen at the wheel.

So to spice things up a little, Emma popped the question.  I know, I know, we usually wait for the 'get engaged' to roll up in wishes.  In this alternate timeline, Emma wanted to marry Arthur right away, so we assume that she wanted engagement as well.  

Perhaps Emma was waiting on Arthur to want engagement?  Maybe he did in the prior timeline?  Who knows.  But, this Arthur has promised they would at least talk on the phone every day if he couldn't make it over to see her.  He still had a few classes to finish up at Sim State.

In the meanwhile, Manny has been on his own for the most part since he is not living/breathing.  His time is spent doing chores, watching for a job in Culinary, and working the synthesizer for creativity for his job in the Criminal field.  Looks like he is in like Flynn at My Muse.  Good for you Manny!

Thursday.  Poor poor Manny.

Emma had the day off.  She hadn't seen her brother Thomas in a while, so an outing was made to FM downtown.  Dickson Fleig, the young man who shared the same birthday as Thomas, came as well.  Emma added Dickson to her friend count for work.  And it was oh so good to see Tom.

The day wasn't so great for Manny.  He made a bad decision and lost his job.....begged his boss to take him back, but no go.  He decided he would not go back to work again until he could work in a restaurant.

Friday was a roller coaster of emotions for Emma.  She awoke with a wish to win a dance contest, and also held a fear of losing a dance contest.  Being that Emma just made it in to My Muse, it was a shoo in to get a fear realized.

The contest began.  Instead of showing off new dance moves she learned at work, Emma decided to smustle. 

Oh look who it is.  Mr. Loser at Dance, Mr. Fred Goth, whom Emma had thoughts about a couple of days ago.  Fred has been a habitual loser at My Muse since he was a teen, and continually competes when other Sims come to My Muse.  He is always there.  

Oh no...Emma lost.  At least it is a fear realized to keep the aspiration tamped down.

No matter, a wish to pillow fight spun up and she and Fred freshened up their friendship.

Then there was a wish to.....drink juice?  ASimWen doesn't recall seeing a wish like that.  Emma headed over to Sue's Kitchen and drank from the nectar cart.  Nope...didn't do it.  But a drink from the bar did.  

The running around done Emma headed home to get some rest before heading out to work at 1 pm.  But oh no...she was in deep green aspiration.  No promotion today???  Oh but wait.  She ran outside to meet this townie, Cassidy Hunick, who was certain that Emma was going to get promoted anyway.

Cassidy was right!!!

No sooner had Emma gotten home from work, her phone rang. Oh geeze...it was Lucy Tellerman, Arthur's mom.  She wanted to go out and spend time together.  Emma was tired, but decided it probably wouldn't be a good idea to turn her down.  So right back out she went.

It was off to the bowling alley.  When Emma arrived she realized she wasn't the only one invited, there was the Tellerman's whole circle of friends there as well.

A few games were bowled, and the evening ended with a great plate of spaghetti.  Emma really liked Arthur's parents,  Except they stuck her with the $65 dining bill for the whole crowd.

Saturday morning Emma immediately asked Arthur to come over.

Emma relayed to Arthur how his mother invited her out for the evening with his dad and all their friends.  She said they seemed nice, but cheap.  Arthur was slightly embarrassed for his parents' faux pas and assured Emma he would speak to them about it.  

Arthur was then stymied seeing Manny charge up.  He had never seen a thing like that in his life.  In no time, Emma was off to work, and Arthur decided to hang out with Manny for a while.  

Emma promoted to interpretive dancer.  As if she wasn't tired enough, she went right back to work so as not to miss a single performance.

Sunday was a funday for Manny.  He decided to try to win the dance competition.

Hi didn't win, but neither did Noelle, and she was mighty displeased.  Manny was okay with that.

Manny's dream job came up, finally!  He grabbed it in a nanosecond.

Sunday was a work day for Emma, and more promotions were in her very near future.

But of course the first thing Emma wanted to do before heading off to work was to try the dance contest again.

Emma was brimming with confidence....took her place right in front of the DJ.  Where is Fred Goth??  

And she won!

 Even though Emma loved dance, working several shows a day toll. But oh my she did love to dance.

She tapped her way right to ballroom dancer....

and then dipped her way right to flamenco master. Only one more promotion and she will be a ballerina.  But it won't be soon.  She needs two more creativity points and must work for it.

Arthur dropped by a date gift for Emma, the first one this week.  It is nothing like a Dance-o-Sphere, but it is something.  After all, he is a poor college student.

Monday morning, Emma has the day off work.  Nothing like a little Simming to relax!  Manny has the day off as well, and is recharging before his day starts.  

At this point, Emma only has 21 Dream Dates, perhaps she can work a few more in visiting Arthur at University.

This Alternate Timeline has run its course on this lot.  But will continue for there are more who were caught up in this debacle.  Ending fears/wishes:

Emma - Wishes: Go on a dream date, marry Arthur, talk about hobbies, and dance with someone. Fears:  Be rejected for go on date, rejected for dance with someone, and burn food.  She no longer fears any old boyfriends dying and takes comfort in that.

Emma will finish up her career next visit, and who knows what she will do next as Arthur Tellerman's wife.  

Manny was just there, even though he did hold wishes/fears.  Wishes:  Buy a car, win a dance contest, be BFFs with Frannie Broke and Emma.  Fears:  See hail, sell a pulp novel, and be rejected for outing. 

Manny starts his job in Culinary on Wednesday as a Prep cook.
