Pleasantview Round 8 - Wilkie - Siblings Rose and Birch (former NPC House)

I know what you must be saying.  What!  Another Plantsim house!  Yes, this is the last one of the round.  These two Plantsims are siblings, Birch and Rose.  And Sheldon peeking over Birch's shoulder is Roses's son.   Her husband, Count Ted Mamuyak, died via sun exposure two rounds ago.  Birch's wife, Chef Joy was an elder when they married and she has passed.

Let's get reacquainted!

As mentioned, Rose is Birch's sibling, and is currently a Concert Pianist.  When she wished for a spouse from the wishing well, Count Ted Mamuyac appeared to her, and it was love at first sight.  They had a son, Sheldon. Rose is perm plat, and is 8 days from elderhood.

Fortune - Become City Planner

Wanting a quick path to wedded bliss, Birch wished for love out of the wishing well and received Chef Joy.  Marriage happened right away!  But alas, Chef Joy passed of natural causes last round.   Birch wants to become City Planner, but is currently Head of the SCIA.  Birch accidentally died by flies last round, but was brought back into existence by his sister Rose through begging with Grim.  Birch is perm plat, and will age up in 9 days.

Family - Raise 20 Puppies or Kittens

Sheldon's parents are Rose and the deceased Count Ted Mamuyak.  He is the only Sim in the house who will consciously get wishes granted.  Sheldon will age up in 11 days.

First Wishes:  Go steady with (teen-aged) Brandi Broke, sneak out with cousin Isabel Wilkie and then Betty Broke, and go to Uni.

The breeding pair to help out with Sheldon's LTW is (left to right) Tina Burb from John Burb's LTW to raise 20, and then Maxis Dog Otis. They produced two litters last round.

Last round was very exciting!  In a nutshell, there were two deaths, and one resurrection.  Joy died of old age, and Birch was eaten by the mean flies, then brought back by his sister Rose.    Sheldon aged up to teen, the dogs were very prolific breeders, and there were numerous badges won.  Sheldon had a great outing at the pool with other teens in the neighborhood, Count Ted haunted!  It was all great fun.  Let's get on with this visit!

Right away, the neighborhood deaths registered.

Rose realized an inheritance from John Burb, and Birch Nina Caliente.  Sometimes I don't realize how friendly Sims are with each other until somebody passes on!

Birch headed off to work, and Sheldon headed off to school.  Rose spent the day cutting back the weeds, watering plants as it was the first day of spring.  Upon returning home from school, Sheldon still held the same wishes.  Well!  It was time to see what could be managed.  He had a wish to go steady with Brandi Broke.  ASimWen can't remember if she is already going steady with someone, but will find out!  Sheldon gives her a call.

Sheldon lit a fire in the fireplace making a romantic atmosphere.  Then he popped the question.  Would Brandi go steady with him?

She said YES.  One big wish for Sheldon. Now to look for a fear...

In the meanwhile Sheldon's mom, Rose, had a wish to woohoo in bed.  Woohoo is always taken care of in this neighborhood.  Sadly her husband Count Ted had passed beyond.

On to the wishing well....to wish for Romance.

On woo-hoo out of the way.  Roses's brother Birch holds the same wish.  Hmmm...

Tuesday saw Sheldon play a game of chess, and get a skill point in Mechanical, thus getting in his wishes for the day.

When Birch isn't looking for romance, he is sewing.  No one in this family has a sewing badge.  Great way to get him to sit under the plant light all night

By now it is Sim Thursday, and ASimWen was doing great at playing the lot through without much thought!  It occured to me that I wasn't looking at fears much to stir things up.  Oh?  What's this?

Shirley Oldie daughter of vampire Kari and the deceased Grass Oldie came over after school.  Even though Shirley is Sheldon's cousin, Sheldon threw a sudden fear of breaking up with Brandi.  Hm.  How to do this?  Sheldon just won a bucket load of aspiration points for making friends with Shirley.  Need to get rid of some!

How To Make Your Sim Lose TONS of Aspiration Points

Sim invites his brand new girlfriend over..yes...the same one he just started going steady with a couple of days before.  Oh my...how in love these two are!  (Brandi Broke).

OOps who is this????  The girlfriend's cousin who Sim also has a crush on.... (Betty Broke).

Sim greets his girlfriend's cousin with an innocent little kiss.  Girlfriend has an immediate reaction, and Sim and his girlfriend fall out of best friend status.

***SLAP SLAP SLAP***

Sim and now ex-girlfriend realize fears of breaking up....losing aspiration.

Sim and ex-girlfriend realize an additional fear of falling out of love.  More aspiration lost.

That is how to make your sim go from rock solid platinum to low green aspiration in a few seconds. heh  At any rate, Sheldon now shows a wish to go steady with Betty, but she is betrothed to Albert Goth (in hard hat to far left, has grown up) as they are the same aspiration/LTW.  Wont' happen for Sheldon.

Can't help but think now there will be interesting neighborhood ripples between the Broke cousins who now hate each other.....heh...should make for some good drama!

By now it has been a couple of real life months since ASimWen has played this neighborhood. I won't say real life interfered, I will say that I took care of the Holidays, and then yes, I did dabble around in TS4 University for a while. It is fun. But my heart belongs to TS2! For Sure! I also started a new blog called ASimWen's Short Challenges. Worked in a couple of short challenges... The Internet Lover Challenge, and the Poverty Challenge.  Challenges done here can be any one of the Sim genres.  Check it out, it is lots of fun.  Anyhoo, back to the Sheldon and his PlantSim mom and uncle!

I don't remember what was going on here...but Rose is saying hello to Brittany (Upsnot) Wilkie, her sister-in-law.  Probably just shoring up familial connections.

Badges and Jobs

Rose earned the Arts and Crafts hobby plaque, and later the gold badge in flower arranging.  Yay you, Rose!

Birch finally won the gold sewing badge, and started filling up the wardrobe with clothes.

Annnnd Rose worked her way to the top of another career.  New LTW?  To become Mayor.  Ain't gonna happen.

It was bound to happen.  The Wilkie household is now subject to the jealousy of a jilted ex-girlfriend.  Brandi ran by and brazenly stole the newspaper right in front of Birch while he was out front tending the tiny garden of one eggplant.

Tina Burb had her last litter of pups....Gorgio and Linda.  Tina will age up in a couple of days.  On the same day...

This pup, Bethe, grew up.  Gorgio was upset and started howling as these two were in the middle of playing!  Sheldon got on the phone and called Animal Control to come and get Bethe.  One more for his LTW of Raise 20.  Not sure how many dogs he has seen grow up, as this house has been producing puppies for a while.  Don't know how many stuck around to grow up.

Sheldon spent Sunday taking care of low level wishes.  Which included a trip to the park to fish, where he met up with Bessie Broke, Betty Broke's sister.  Nothing happened there....boy wouldn't that have been a tangled web!

Upon Sheldon's return from the park, Brandi waltzed right into the uninvited house and made herself at home dancing in front of the stereo.  Sheldon joined her, to no one's objections!  No romantic scene here, no fire in the fireplace, ect.  However, Sheldon did talk a little bit about love and how maybe it was a mistake to break up.  But Brandi wasn't interested in getting back together.  Not yet, anyway, Her heart was still broken.

And that is where we end this visit with the Wilkies.

Summary

Sheldon had lots of love troubles, going steady with Brandi Broke, then breaking up with her when she caught him and with her cousin Brenda Broke.  Single at the beginning of the visit, and single at the end!  Sheldon more than likely will not be going to University, as he did not wish for it all week.

Ending wishes and fears:  Play viloin, play marco polo, smustle dance and play the modular symth.  All 500 pt wishes.  Fears:  Be rejected for dance, death of Betty, and burn food.

Lots of badges and hobby plaques won!  No sense in repeating that!

Next up a new lot!  John Lothario and Ivy (Copur) Lothario's grown daughter Emma!  And boy does she have some kinda some LTW!  See you there!
